Morris P. Hebert, PLS, CH is President and CEO of Morris P. Hebert, Inc. (MPH). As the senior executive officer of MPH, Mr. Hebert maintains involvement in the day-to-day operations of the firm and is responsible for the implementation and execution of the firmís strategic planning goals. He directs and supervises development of key business guidelines, corporate culture and organizational structure while maintaining an open-door policy and empowering vice presidents and project managers to provide superior, client focused solutions to our clients.

Prior to and following graduation from Nicholls State University in 1968 with a BA in Secondary Education, Mr. Hebert worked for two local civil engineering companies beginning as a draftsman and rodman on a survey crew ultimately rising to the position of assistant vice president. During that time frame Morris obtained professional licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas. In addition, he also obtained American Congress of Surveying and Mapping Board certification as an Inshore and Offshore Hydrographer. In January, 1980, feeling a need to start his own business, Mr. Hebert founded Morris P. Hebert, Inc. From those humble beginnings, Morris has guided MPH through several decades of growth and expansion to include offices in Houma and Baton Rouge, LA, Houston and San Antonio, Texas and Clinton, New Jersey with approximately 200 employees offering a diversity of professional services to include surveying, hydrographic surveying, engineering, environmental consulting, GIS, and right-of-way acquisition services.

Morris has throughout his career been involved in professional development and is a member and former President of the Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors , member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors, member of the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping, member of the Nicholls State University Geomatics Advisory Committee, former member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors, and a former member and Chairman of the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Surveying Board. During his career, Mr. Hebert has been recognized by his peers as a leader in the surveying profession and is the recipient of the LSPS Presidentís award, the LSPS Surveying Excellence award and twice honored with LSPS Presidential citations and two awards of recognition from Nicholls State University for his contributions toward the founding and success of the Geomatics program.

Mr. Hebert has also been involved in community affairs and organizations to include serving as Terrebonne General Medical Center board Chairman , Synergy Bank board Chairman, member of the board of Catholic Charities, former member of the Terrebonne Economic Development Authority, member of the South Central Industrial Association, member of the Chamber of Commerce and member of the American Legion.
