Corporate Safety Manager

Terrell Brooks is Morris P. Hebert, Inc.’s Corporate Safety Manager. Terrell provides guidance and technical support to promote compliance with MPH’s safety management system, HSE standards, laws and regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements. He assists MPH management with improving performance through auditing, root cause analysis and identification of corrective and preventive action plans. Terrell is also responsible for developing and implementing fit-for purpose programs surrounding MPH’s services in addition to evaluating and monitoring business activities to develop new or implement existing systems, processes, procedures to minimize risk or mitigate hazards to health, safety, or the environment.

Terrell has 18 years of safety management experience serving in various capacities within municipal government, production chemical distribution, and the oil and gas pipeline industry. His variety of experience includes program development and implementation, loss prevention/risk management, regulatory compliance, claims management, drug and alcohol program management, employee training and education, subcontractor evaluating and monitoring.

Terrell has Professional Registrations as an Occupational Health and Safety Technologist, OHST, a Construction Health and Safety Technician, CHST, and a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist, COSS. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, as well as, the Gulf Coast Safety and Training Group. Terrell also holds the title of an Authorized Craft Instructor through the National Center for Construction Education and Research and an Authorized General Industry Outreach Trainer. During Terrell’s many years of experience he has assisted MPH in maintaining OSHA “S.H.A.R.P” status for seven consecutive years and is the past President of the Bayou Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers.

Terrell Brooks has an A.S. in Petroleum Safety Technology from Nicholls State University.
