Morris P. Hebert, PLS, CH, F,NSPS is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Morris P. Hebert, Inc. (MPH). As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Hebert works collaboratively with the co-CEO’s to provide continuity and governance for the organization through policies and objectives; to manage resources effectively; to enhance the organizations’ public image and to act as a sounding board regarding emerging issues or potential problems.  Together they share a common understanding of the organization’s needs and strategies and work together to achieve the goals of the organization.

Morris holds professional licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas. In addition, he is certified through the National Society of Professional Surveyors as an Inshore and Offshore Hydrographer. Morris has guided MPH through several decades of growth and expansion to include offices in Houma, LA, Houston, San Antonio, and Midland, TX with approximately 250 employees offering a diversity of professional services to include land surveying, engineering, environmental consulting, GIS, and remote sensing services.

Throughout his career, Morris has been involved in professional development and is a member and former President of the Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors, Fellow of the National Society of Professional Surveyors, member of the Nicholls State University Geomatics Advisory Committee, former member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors, and a former Chairman and emeritus member of the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Surveying Board. During his career, Mr. Hebert has been recognized by his peers as a leader in the surveying profession and is the recipient of the LSPS President’s award, the LSPS Surveying Excellence award and twice honored with LSPS Presidential citations and two awards of recognition from Nicholls State University for his contributions toward the founding and success of the Geomatics program. Mr. Hebert is also a recipient of the prestigious South Central Industrial Association (SCIA) President’s Award for his contributions to the people of South Louisiana through his efforts in enhancing the oil and gas industry in South Louisiana.

Mr. Hebert has also been involved in community affairs and organizations to include serving as Terrebonne General Medical Center board Chairman , Synergy Bank board Chairman, consulting member of the board of Catholic Charities, former member of the Terrebonne Economic Development Authority, member of the South Central Industrial Association, member of the Chamber of Commerce and member of the American Legion.
