Morris P. Hebert, Inc. (MPH) is proud to announce that this year marks our 40th year in business. MPH was founded by Morris & Sandra Hebert in 1980 as a land and hydrographic surveying firm headquartered in Houma, LA. From the beginning, it was a family business. His wife Sandra worked at the company, doing everything from office management to actually working with Morris in the field from time to time. Morris’ father, the late Harold Hebert worked with him in the beginning as well as his brother Tommy and sister Suzette.
In 1998, to better meet our client demands in Southeast Texas, MPH expanded and opened a fully-staffed office in Houston, TX. That office quickly grew and is now MPH’s second largest office.
In 2002, Morris sold the company to his four children, Brian and John Hebert, Amie Bice, and Andrea Miller. Morris remained as President and CEO, while Brian Hebert served as Chief Financial Officer and John Hebert served as Chief Operating Officer. Brian and John were instrumental in further growing the company over the years and in 2011 MPH opened its third office in San Antonio, Texas. Continuing to meet our clients’ demands, MPH opened it’s fourth office in 2015 in Midland, TX.
Over the past 40 years, MPH has expanded its scope of services to include engineering, environmental & regulatory services, GIS, and remote sensing. We have added these services to help assist our clients with their complex projects and to provide “Client Focused Solutions”. Our expertise and experience providing these services ensures that our clients’ projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
In 2019, MPH moved into its’ new corporate headquarters in Houma, LA. The new headquarters featured a new state-of-the-art 22,500 square foot office building and 8 additional buildings which house a safety and training facility, equipment room, and mechanic shop. Also last year, after 39 years at the helm, Morris stepped down as CEO, and the Board of Directors appointed Brian and John co-CEOs of the company. Morris remains involved in the company serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Since 1980, MPH has grown from a small, family business to one of the most respected firms in the surveying and engineering industry. MPH is currently licensed to provide professional services in 11 states and has completed projects in 38 of the 48 contiguous states. 
MPH has enjoyed continued growth throughout our 40 years in business. This growth is due directly to the dedication and hard work of our loyal employees and the continued support of our valued clients.
